SURREY — At least one major Lower Mainland bridge is back in service, but another primary one for Fraser Valley residents remained closed as of Saturday morning (Dec. 24).
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure reported Saturday morning that the Port Mann Bridge in both directions is still closed this morning, but may reopen between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. later today.
It says winter operations are occurring between Port Mann Bridge and Port Mann East Service Rd for 0.5 km (Surrey). It will have an update at 11 a.m. later this morning.
In the meantime, the Alex Fraser Bridge in Delta is now fully open in both directions. Drive B.C. says motorists should expect slushy and slippery conditions and delays due to congestion.
