CHILLIWACK — Formidable freezing rain and icy, slippery roads have led to the closure of several civic facilities in Chilliwack on Christmas Eve.
The Fraser Valley Regional Library system confirmed Friday night that the Chilliwack and Sardis libraries are closed today and will reopen on Wednesday, December 28.
Similarly, the YMCA of Greater Vancouver and City of Chilliwack announced this morning that the Cheam Leisure Centre and Chilliwack Landing Centre are all closed due to poor weather conditions. The Bob Chan-Kent YMCA on Hocking Avenue is also closed due to weather conditions.
The Cultural Centre, Evergreen Hall, Sardis Sports Complex, and Landing Sports Centre are closed likewise.
