Highway 3 east of Hope to close today for avalanche hazard control
HOPE — For those brave enough to hit the highways following the latest winter storm, Highway 3 (Crowsnest) east of Hope probably won’t be one of your transportation options today.
Manning Park Resort, located east of Hope, announced yesterday that Highway 3 will be closed for Avalanche Hazard Control starting later this morning (Dec. 24), for a period of up to 24 hours. The highway will be closed to all traffic east of Sunshine Valley, and west of Princeton.
“During this time, the highway will be closed to all traffic from the east/Princeton and the west/Sunshine Valley,” Manning Park reported. “We do not expect the highway to re-open until noon on Dec. 25/22. Please plan your travels accordingly and be safe on the roads.”
