B.C. Transit suspends all bus service Friday in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Reminiscent of this past Tuesday in which most transit operations in Chilliwack were suspended due to inclement weather, B.C. Transit announced early Friday morning (Dec. 23) that there will be no bus service in Chilliwack today.
“Please be advised that due to poor weather and road conditions, all services in Chilliwack has been suspended until further notice,” B.C. Transit wrote on its website.
All routes are affected, including Route 51 (Vedder), Route 52 (Evans), Route 53 (Chilliwack), Route 54 (Promontory), Route 55 (Yarrow-Greendale), Route 57 (Broadway), Route 58 (Tyson), Route 59 (Industrial), Route 66 (Fraser Valley Express), as well as Routes 71 and 72, and HandyDART. All these routes are suspended for today.
B.C. Transit apologized for the service disruption and encouraged people to sign up for real-time alerts.
