Chilliwack businesses and community raise $88K in just a month for 4 ECG machines at Chilliwack Hospital
CHILLIWACK — From Canex Building Supplies to Gulf & Fraser Fishermen’s Credit Union, businesses across the Fraser Valley are stepping up to help the Chilliwack Hospital Foundation in its mission to support the hospital’s capital needs and enable health care professionals to provide quality care to all Chilliwack residents.
Thanks to the generous donation from a downtown Chilliwack church, a Chilliwack business, as well as a Chilliwack philanthropist, and the greater Chilliwack community, the all-volunteer, foundation continues to reach its fundraising goals without any paid administrative staff or overhead.
The Chilliwack Hospital Foundation announced Thursday morning (Dec. 22) that Main Street Church, businessman John O’Connor, Chilliwack business Canex Building Supplies, and the community have donated money to purchase four electrocardiogram machines at Chilliwack General Hospital.
Shawn Vandop from Main Street Church presented a $22,000 cheque to the foundation recently as a means of giving back to the Chilliwack community.
