Canada Post advises of further mail delivery delays in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — The clock is ticking ahead of Christmas, but wintry weather has impacted Canada’s Post ability to deliver Christmas packages to their Fraser Valley destinations.

Canada Post wrote on social media Wednesday morning that it cannot promise that mail delivery will occur today (Dec. 21) due to inclement weather and other hazardous driving conditions throughout the Fraser Valley, including Chilliwack.

After yesterday’s red red delivery service alert that suspended mail delivery and related services for the Fraser Valley, including Chilliwack, Abbotsford, and Mission, the Crown corporation disseminated a yellow service alert for those same three cities.

“A yellow service alert means we are going to do our best to deliver, but there may be delays in the following regions due to inclement weather,” Canada Post wrote.
