Fast Air lands at Abbotsford International Airport

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford International Airport (CYXX) is welcoming a new charter service to its facility. Fast Air has announced its expansion to CYXX.

Fast Air is a Canadian-based private aviation company offering private air and charter services. Today (Dec. 13) it announced it has broken ground on a new facility at CYXX which will become its Fast Air West hub. Fast Air also has facilities in Toronto and in Winnipeg where it was initially established more than 25 years ago.

“This new project has been underway for several years and it is exciting to see our operations begin”, said President and CEO Dylan Fast. “We have been very pleased with the great support and collaboration of the Abbotsford International airport leadership and area business community. We look forward to providing the same safe and professional flying services to the region that have led to our success in other regions.”

In a news release, Fast Air says it plans to offer air travel for business and for pleasure out of Abbotsford. Clients are able to book a completely refurbished King Air turbo prop for flights to the U.S. or Canada. It says it is working closely with the Abbotsford International Airport Canadian Customs service to enable international arrivals efficiently.
