CHILLIWACK — Environment Canada’s last snowfall forecast missed the mark completely when the national weather agency predicted 2-5 centimeters would fall in Chilliwack Friday night (Dec. 2).

While the accumulations never materialized, Environment Canada is predicting up to 10 centimeters of snow Tuesday morning (Dec. 6) through Wednesday morning.

In a special weather statement issued at 4:06 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 5), Environment Canada says the recent cold weather has prepared the south coast for low elevation snowfall.

For East Fraser Valley including Chilliwack and Hope, snow will end early Wednesday morning. Total snowfall amounts near 10 centimeters are expected.
