Mayor’s annual Christmas card contest returns

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford’s third annual Christmas Card contest is back with a chance to design the Mayor’s 2022 Christmas card.

Abbotsford elementary students from kindergarten to grade five, are encouraged to create and submit a festive Christmas drawing. The winning submission act as the cover for Mayor Ross Siemens official Christmas card.

The Mayor’s Christmas card is sent to various contacts across B.C. by the mayor and council.

Along with being selected for the cover, the student with the winning design will also receive a Christmas prize package.

“Children bring such joy to the holiday season, and it is my hope that their festive spirit shines brightly in their artwork for the Christmas card contest,” said Ross Siemens, Mayor of Abbotsford. “I look forward to seeing all the creative artwork and it is my privilege to share the winning art with family, friends and community members this holiday season.”

Last year, nearly 600 entries were submitted. Students wanting to participate in this year’s contest must email their card design to mayorsoffice@abbotsford.ca by November 30th.
