WEST KELOWNA — If G.W. Graham quarterback Lucas Feaver doesn’t beat you by air, he’ll gladly take it on the ground and present challenges for opposing defenses.

Feaver made good on his dual threat presence Saturday, scrambling for three rushing touchdowns and throwing three scoring strikes in a spectacular 69-7 win over Mt. Boucherie in Kelowna, giving the Grizzlies three straight wins.

Feaver maintained his MVP-style season with 13-of-22 passing for 227 yards and 3 TDs, while scampering 10 times for 75 yards as the opposing Bears had no answer for the Grizzlies quarterback.

“He is on top of his game right now,” explained G.W. Graham head coach and offensive coordinator Luke Acheson. “He is seeing the field so well and making things happen with his legs and his arm.”

Feaver went to his top three trusted targets in the air including Tyson Orregaard, who hauled in 7 receptions for 118 yards and a TD, Carter Dallas, who recorded 7 catches for 117 yards and a TD, and Braeden MacDonald with 3 catches for 39 yards and a TD.

“The offense scored on 10 consecutive possessions this afternoon,” said Acheson. “We executed at a high level”.

Aiden Hewitt came in as QB in the second half for Feaver and was 6-of-7 for 73 yards and 2 TDs. Maleky Colgiu added 2 rushing TDs and MacDonald had a 13-yard jet sweep TD in the first half.

On defense the usual suspects made stellar contributions. Defensive end Vincent Branauer applied constant pressure in the Bears backfield with 4 sacks, 6 total tackles and an interception and tackle for loss. Yapo Conteh added 2 sacks, 5 total tackles and a fumble recovery. “

“We gave up some first downs but didn’t surrender a TD today,” said defensive coordinator Ian Parks, with the only Bears’ TD coming on a kickoff return. “I am proud of the energy and execution, even when we installed the second and thirds in the second half – every player we put in the game gave us incredible effort,” Parks said, praising his squad’s stout defensive play in the second half.
