Fire approximately 1.5 hectares in size breaks out near Sasquatch Provincial Park
HARRISON LAKE — A fire has broken out on the east side of Harrison Lake north of Sasquatch Provincial Park and Hicks Lake.
The B.C. Wildfire Service reported Friday afternoon (Aug. 19) that the fire is 1.5 hectares in size. The suspected cause is unknown at this time.
The nearest road in proximity to the fire is Slollicum Creek Forest Service Road.
Provincially, there are presently 14 fires in the Coastal Fire Centre, 13 in the Northwest Fire Centre, 32 in the Kamloops Fire Centre, and 41 in the Southeast Fire Centre.
