Abbotsford PD investigating violent street robbery, female victim dragged by suspect vehicle

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford Police are investigating a report of a late night robbery in which four teenagers or young adults presented a firearm, robbed a 40-year-old female, and allegedly dragged her a short distance by their vehicle.

Abbotsford Police responded to a delayed report of a street robbery in the 2500 block of McCallum Road, just west of downtown Abbotsford, in the early morning hours of July 20.

A 40-year-old female victim told police she had been robbed by four unknown males wearing dark clothing, all described as being in their late teens or early 20s. The suspects presented a firearm demanding money from the victim.

During the altercation, the victim was dragged a short distance by the suspect’s vehicle, described as an older model two-door grey Honda Civic. The victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The AbbyPD Major Crime Unit has taken over this investigation.
