ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford are appealing to the public for any tips or witness descriptions after a vehicle struck a concrete barrier earlier this week, sending three to hospital with serious injuries.

Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched for a single-vehicle collision at 12:14 a.m. early Monday, June 1 on Highway 11 at Townshipline Road. First responders arrived and found a black Chrysler 300 with significant damage and all three occupants suffering from serious injuries. One person was airlifted to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Sgt. Walker says the investigation remains in its early stages and is being administered by AbbyPD’s General Investigative Section, with assistance from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).

Preliminary evidence suggests the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Townshipline Road, west of Highway 11, when it failed to negotiate a turn, lost control, made contact with the centre concrete barrier and crossed over Highway 11.
