B.C. Transit suspends all transit service, including Handy Dart, in Chilliwack today

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack-area residents who rely on B.C. Transit and the 12 bus routes it provides in Chilliwack, Agassiz and the surrounding communities will need to find an alternative form of transportation today.

B.C. Transit wrote on its website early Tuesday morning (Dec. 20) at 4:36 a.m. that it has suspended all bus service in Chilliwack today due to the winter storm that brought at least 15-20 centimetres of snow to town overnight.

“Please be advised that due to bad weather conditions all the services in Chilliwack will be suspended until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience,” B.C. Transit wrote on its website.

The routes impact include the heavily-utilized Route 51 (Vedder Road), Route 52 (Evans), Route 53 (Chilliwack), Route 54 (Promontory), Route 55 (Yarrow-Greendale), Route 57 (Broadway), Route 58 (Tyson), and Route 59 (Industrial).
